October Event｜Pottery Workshop
We spend most of our days confined to the world inside our smartphones, so I think it's important to have experiences that connect us to nature. It's amazing and moving to see soft clay transformed into beautiful pottery.
Pottery Workshop for Beginners
Each participant will use a hand wheel to create a piece of art. Beginners and junior high school students are welcome to join us.
You will have plenty of time to leisurely create whatever shape and thing you like.

What kind of people are in the group today? We have participants from outside Tokyo and even overseas. We are a group of people who spend a pleasant time together.
Get away from your daily routine and experience nature.
First, you will learn the basics of pottery and make a palm-sized tea bowl. As you slowly progress, your mind will become calmer.

Finally, you will decide which piece you would like to fire and choose a glaze (color: blue, white, gray). If you would like to fire two or more pieces, you can choose the option to have them fired separately. Leave the finishing touches to the pottery you have made to the studio. You can look forward to seeing the finished product in about a month.

If you would like to try not only molding but also carving, please make two reservations.
The first time, we will do the shaping work. From the second time onwards, we will do the carving work on the work that was shaped in the first time. Of course, it is also OK to shape the work a second time.

What to bring: Please come empty-handed. We can lend you a studio apron.
[What you need to know] If your nails are long, the work will be short, so it's best to get your nails as soon as possible.

The vessel you have shaped will be carved, glazed and fired in the studio to complete the piece. It will be delivered in about one month. (If you wish to have it shipped, we can send it to you cash on delivery.)
